Safe Driving
Written by Gary Cookson
Safe DrivingÂ
(NHTSA) reports that at age 16, which is the highest risk age for drivers, 48 percent of deaths were passengers and slightly more 16-year-old females were killed as passengers than as drivers.
More females will be a passenger of a male teen driver on prom night than any other time of the year across North America. Speeding, alcohol use, multiple passengers and driving between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. represent the deadliest combination of factors and is the prime recipe for car crashes.

Texting while driving - Video
Written by Gary Cookson
Nobody thinks that they are going to die when they are texting while driving. But this is a very common cause of injuries and death among all ages of drivers. We have all done it and most of us get away with it but sooner or later our luck can run out and in many cases it runs out and we kill or injure ourselves or somebody else. No message is worth dying for.

Driving in Unsafe Driving Conditions
Written by vic Garbutt
Driving a Vehicle, especially a Motorcycle is at best a precarious activity. It would be nice if the car just stayed on its proper side of the road all by itself, and automatically avoided other vehicles or other hazzards. Some day that may be the case, but in todays world, that is still a science fiction. In fact, there are many ways to interfere with the unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, and the driving conditions, the environment, the weather, the road conditions can easily cause your vehicle to take on a life of it's own and cause a serious incident.
Unsafe driving conditions may include one or more of:
Some of these hazards will Cause you to lose control, and some will cause you to lose yur bearings. Combine any of them with distractions like a cell phone or eating, and a disaster is waiting just around the next hi speed corner.
- Rain
- Snow and Ice
- Fog
- High Winds
- Bright sunlight
- Poor road surfaces

Speed Kills - be carefull
This commercial hits home that the effect of speed on the eventual outcome of an accident is proportionate to the speed that you are traveling on impact. It is rather chilling but makes its point. Just by slowing down your survival rate increases if you are in an accident. The other benefit of slowing down is that you can enjoy the journey as much as the destination. Many aggressive drivers never make it to their destination.
